Canine Insight. Cultural Respect. Informed Decisions.

Canines for Heritage Preservation utilizes specially trained detection dog teams to provide surveys that help land managers, archaeologists, and cultural resource professionals identify potential burial locations before ground disturbance occurs.

Based in Colorado, we conduct surveys throughout the North American continent, including Alaska and Canada, in locations where canine travel does not require quarantine.

What We Do

Our dogs are used to survey landscapes where
unmarked burials may be present.

These surveys can support:

Preliminary landscape assessment

Avoidance-based project planning

Identification of areas requiring further investigation

Documentation of potential burial locations

Our work uses non-invasive methods.
